“ This trattoria was recommended to be by the host where I was staying It has been run by the same family for over 100 years. A proper authentic Italian village trattoria. When I arrived the restaurant was empty but the head lady came out of the kitchen and said she would get her son who was in the other room as he spoke better English. I followed her — a joyful welcome roared out and it looked like the whole village was watching football. I was welcomed as a local and watched the last twenty minutes which to the delight of most, Bologna beat Roma 3-1 playing away in Rome. I then went to the restaurant and just asked to be fed. I had tagliatelle with ragu and tortellini washed down with red vino and crème brûlée . The food was amazing service brilliant and the friendliness of the staff made the whole experience memorable. For a taste of real Italy GO HERE. I will be back ”
